Luzia Aurora Rocha studied Musicology in Lisbon (Portugal) and Innsbruck (Austria), and received her PhD in Musicology from the NOVA University of Lisbon. She is currently a collaborator at CESEM; she also coordinates the Music Iconography Thematic Line at CESEM, and co-coordinates the ARLAC-IMS Working Group ‘Music Iconography and its overseas connections’ and the CESEM/Music in the Modern Period Group. She was recently appointed to the Steering Committee of the StudyGroup on Musical Iconography of the IMS (International Musicological Society). She is a regular scientific advisor to international councils - in Europe (also for the EU - European Union and FWO) and in Latin America - in the fields of the Arts, Musical Iconography and Heritage.
