Juliana Wady

Juliana Wady began her academic journey in Brazil at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). In Portugal, she continued her studies in Historical Musicology at the University of Évora and completed a Master's degree in Musical Sciences at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences (UNL). She is currently a PhD fellow at the same university, working within the project "Thematic History of Music in Portugal and Brazil" (UI/BD/151161/2021), developed by CESEM, with research focusing on the Luso-Brazilian musical context in the 20th century. Within this field, Juliana Wady has participated in several national and international conferences, published articles in both Portugal and Brazil, and was awarded second place in the Otto Mayer-Serra Award 2024 for her work on Mário de Andrade and Portuguese music.
